Chamet Microphone Not Working: A Step-by-Step Check
By Chamet Agents editorial team · Reviewed October 26, 2026
When people cannot hear you on Chamet, isolate the microphone route before changing unrelated settings. A short test can separate permissions, accessory problems and session controls.

Compare the microphone in another app
Use your phone’s recording tool to capture a brief sentence. Play it back at a normal volume. If that recording is silent too, check the device microphone and any connected accessory. If it sounds normal, the issue may be specific to app access or the active session.
Review the device permission for microphone access when using Chamet.
Check whether the phone, headset or Bluetooth microphone is being used.
Check mute controls, then test a short recording in another app to compare.

Check the active controls
Review the microphone permission for Chamet and the device’s microphone privacy setting. Confirm you are not muted inside the session. Disconnect a headset temporarily if you are unsure which microphone is active, then test again. Do not assume the microphone used by a recording app is always the one selected by another app.
Explain the pattern when requesting help
Note whether the issue affects every session or only one format, and whether it changes with a headset. Include the device and app version. Describe what you can hear as well as what others can hear; that distinction helps separate input problems from speaker or connection problems.
Should I reinstall immediately when sound stops?
First check mute, permission and the audio route. Reinstallation may require account recovery and does not by itself diagnose an accessory or device issue.
