Check a Chamet Commission Example Before Relying on It

By Chamet Agents editorial team · Reviewed October 26, 2026

A commission example is useful only when its assumptions are visible. This guide shows how to inspect the calculation without presenting an unverified rate as the current Chamet agency policy.

  4. Common question

Ask what amount the percentage applies to

Identify the eligible basis, reporting period and account role. A percentage of a team activity figure is not necessarily a percentage of money available for payment. Ask which adjustments and exclusions apply, and where the current rule is shown for your account.

A calculation needs three inputs
Eligible base

Use the earnings basis defined in the actual report.

Applicable rate

Check the rate for the same account and period.

Adjustments

Reconcile deductions and rounding separately.

Hypothetical example: an eligible base of $100 × a hypothetical 10% = $10 before applicable adjustments. This is not a current Chamet rate.

Use a clearly labeled hypothetical calculation

For arithmetic only, a hypothetical eligible amount of 1,000 units at a hypothetical 10% rate gives 100 units before any specified adjustment. These numbers are an illustration, not a Chamet rate or an earnings forecast. Replace every assumption with the verified applicable values before drawing a conclusion.

Reconcile the example with the report

Check whether the dashboard uses the same period and basis. List unexplained differences rather than forcing the report to match an estimate. If someone promotes a commission example without definitions, request the missing information before deciding that the offer fits your needs.

Can I use the highest rate mentioned online as my expected rate?

No. Eligibility, the calculation basis and current applicable terms must be verified. A headline maximum does not establish the rate for a particular account.
