Identify whether you are spending or reviewing earnings

A user-facing purchase screen explains what the user is buying. A host or agency report may use a different unit, period or calculation basis. Do not convert one into the other using only the appearance of a gift. Check the current explanation associated with the specific screen.

Read the confirmation before committing

Review the displayed price, currency and provider information before making any purchase. Understand whether a charge is one-time or recurring when that choice is presented. Keep receipts for your own records, and use the relevant store or provider process for a purchase question. This article does not perform or recommend a purchase.

Before confirming a purchase
Item

Identify exactly what is being purchased.

Price

Read the displayed amount, currency and applicable provider conditions.

Record

Keep the receipt privately; do not treat spending as the host’s payable amount.

Clarify a disputed value with evidence

Record the item name, transaction date, shown amount and the question you need answered. Ask the platform or payment provider which rule applies to that transaction. Avoid sharing full payment credentials or assuming another website’s conversion example establishes a refund or earnings entitlement.

Does the amount a viewer spends equal what a host receives?

Do not assume that relationship. Verify the current platform definitions, eligible calculation basis and applicable adjustments for the role and transaction.
